Your Resume..

Contrary to Legally Blonde, dyeing your resume pink and bathing it in Chanel No. 5 will not get you into Harvard, nor will it get you a job. In case you take career advice from Elle Woods, below you will find the worst resume mistakes in the history of resume mistakes, followed by why these little errors are the reason why you're not even granted a pity interview. Spell check doesn't catch everything, and no one cares how active you were in Girl Scouts, unless you traveled to India to empower girls to sell Thin Mints. Which, in that case, we'll take two boxes.

The header

The idea of a resume is to fit the most pertinent information into a small space. (On that note, a resume should NEVER, under any circumstances, be more than one page long.) Your name and contact information should not be size 40 font, and you should include multiple ways of contacting you; phone, address, and email are sufficient.

The objective

This should be no more than 5 or 6 words, and should state exactly what you are looking for. Keep in mind your wording could give them an impression of how experienced, or inexperienced you are. If it says "Seeking an entry-level position," guess what? That's the salary you'll be offered.

Your experiences

Think of a resume like an upside-down pyramid. The most important information should be on the top, and the farther down the page you go, the less important the information is. Your potential employers know how to skim resumes, and if they don't see something impressive in the beginning, they will move on. Make sure your experiences are first--recognizable names and companies are more impressive than what school you went to.

Things not to include

Reasons why you were fired or left a job, how you won a spelling bee in high school, and your high school GPA and SAT scores. Also, do not include typos. Have ten people read your resume over after you, so that they might catch any grammatical errors that you may not have caught. Also, do not include your Myspace or Facebook page link. Chances are, if you're being considered for the job...they'll see it soon enough, anyway. Also, do not link to your personal blog unless it is somewhat successful or extremely relevant to the job you're applying for. Lastly, do not rhyme. (Saying you have a passion for fashion is more than not okay.)

The worst thing you could do

And finally. Never appear at an interview without a copy of your resume. Can't find a printer in time? Reschedule the interview. Unless you won the Nobel Peace Prize, showing up sans resume is what Liz Lemon calls a dealbreaker, people.

Almost too cute ^_^

Almost too cute

Think your cat is cute? Well, it's a hideous beast compared to the "surprised kitty." The kitten shredded the Search box and became a Web sensation, thanks to an a-dor-a-ble video. In the video, a person stands over the tiny kitten and tickles the cat's tummy. Each time the person pulls their hands away, the surprised kitty mimics the motion. It really is just about the cutest thing you've ever seen and would melt the heart of even the staunchest cat-haters. Searches on "surprised kitty" and "surprised kitty video" both posted triple-digit gains. Me-ow!

The world~

The world rules whoever loves and seeks it,
and serves whoever abandons and denies it.
The world is that which desires and that which is desired.
Whoever desires the world is rejected by it.
Whoever rejects the world is followed by it.
The world is a bridge over the road to the Hereafter.
Cross that bridge, but do not behave as if you will remain on it forever.
It is unwise to build palaces on bridges.
Take as much from the world as will lead you to the Hereafter,
but leave behind that which will prevent you from entering it.

1 - dunia ibarat laut yang dalam

2 - terima nasihat

Pesanan #3:

Pesanan #8:

Pesanan #11:

“Hai anakku, bila engkau mempunyai dua pilihan, takziah orang mati atau hadir majlis perkahwinan, pilihlah utk menziarahi orang mati, sebab ianya akan mengingatkanmu kepada kampung akhirat sedangkan menghadiri pesta perkahwinan hanya mengingatkan dirimu kepada kesenangan duniawi sahaja.”

15 - ilmu untuk diamalkan

Pesanan #16:

The sweetness of Iman..

~The sweetness of Iman..~

The Prophet Muhammad (S) said in authentic hadith,

" Three (traits)
whoever has them,
finds the sweetness of Iman:
i) that Allah and His Messenger be more beloved to him than anyone else,
ii) that he loves a person and does not love him expect for Allah,
iii) and that he hates returning to Kufr after Allah has saved him from it just as he hates to be thrown into fire"

A lesson In life

Thank you Allah for these peaceful stretches of time where I can just relax my mind somewhat...

I have problems but.... the sun is shining and so am I.

Everything happens for a reason.

Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck.

Illness, of injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidly all occur to test the limits of your soul, without these small tests, if they be events, illness or relationships, life would be like smoothly paved ,straight, flat, road to now where.

If some one hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to who you open your heart to.

If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and opening your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them.

Make everyday count, appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it.

Talk to people you have never talked to before and actually listen. Hold your head up because you have every right to tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you either.

You can make of your life any thing you wish, create your own life and then go out and live it.

None Can Stop You From Living YOur Dream
Just Pray To Allah And Everything Will Turn Easy

May We All Meet In Jannah InsyaAllah

A man reached 70 years of age and was affected by a disease which made him unable to urinate. The doctors told him that he needs an operation to cure the disease. He agreed to do the operation as the problem was giving him severe pain for days. When the operation was completed the doctor gave him a bill which covered all the costs. After looking at the bill, the man started crying. Upon seeing this, the doctor said, "If the cost is too high then we could make some other arrangements for you." The old man replied, "I am not crying because of the money but I am crying because Allah (SWT) let me urinate for 70 years and HE never sent me a bill!"SubhanAllah

And He gives you of all that you ask Him; and if you count Allah's favors, you will not be able to number them; most surely man is very unjust, very ungrateful.- Noble Qur'an (14:34)

Moral: We rarely thank Allah (SWT) for these things which are indeed great favors. Take a little pause and think for a while about the bounties of Allah Almighty within yourself. May Allah (SWT) grant us the ability to recognize His bounties and thank Him more often.

Why we must read Al-Quran?

Why we must read Al-Quran?

Why do we read Quran, even if we can't understand a single Arabic word? This is beautiful story, please read till end and forward to all you knows...

An old American Muslim lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading his Qur'an. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could.

One day the grandson asked,
"Grandpa! I try to read the Qur'an just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Qur'an do?"

The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied,
"Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water."

The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house.

The grandfather laughed and said,
"You'll have to move a little faster next time,"

He sent him back to the river with the basket to try again. This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead.

The old man said,
"I don't want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. You're just not trying hard enough,"

He went out the door to watch the boy try again. At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would Leak out before he got back to the house. The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty.

Out of breath, he said,
"See Grandpa, it's useless!"

"So you think it is useless?"

The old man said,
"Look at the basket."

The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out.

"Son, that's what happens when you read the Qur'an. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and outside. That is the work of Allah in our lives."

Moral of the story : Read Al-Quran frequently as it will purify our heart. When we have pure heart, it is easy to do righteous and leave jahiliyah and badness in ourselves.
